I got #infosec sales spam from a sales rep at #EcCouncil (EC-Council.org). I have a vague recollection that I've read stuff in the past suggesting they're a bit iffy. This impression was reinforced when I clicked the unsub link. It required my first name, and after I submitted that it took me to a second form which asked for my email address. They obviously don't need my name to unsubscribe me, so why ask for it, and why the two-stage unsub process? Seems a bit iffy. Any thoughts?
