Thinking back to this morning six years ago when the shadow of the Moon swept across North America during #Eclipse2017. We watched it from Glendo, Wyoming, a town with a permanent population of 200 inhabitants that saw 185,000 visitors on eclipse day. Morning clouds parted before the partial phases began, and the view of totality was glorious.
Looking forward to doing it all over again 231 days from now, in Texas, during #Eclipse2024

Tomorrow night (Tue 29th Nov) I'm doing a talk for Birmingham AS, all about our solar eclipse trip in 2017, covering all the details of how we planned the photography. It's on Zoom and is open to non-members for a small fee of £3. Get tickets here: https://tinyurl.com/m6ej9fnm #solareclipse #eclipse2017 #eclipsephotography

Back in 2017 I went to Hopkinsville, KY for the solar eclipse. It was a chance of a lifetime no scientist like myself could pass up. The campground was one big party, and the eclipse itself was amazing. #photography #eclipse2017
I had a lovely view of the eclipsey thingy at Oregon State University. #eclipse #eclipse2017
