Thinking back to this morning six years ago when the shadow of the Moon swept across North America during #Eclipse2017. We watched it from Glendo, Wyoming, a town with a permanent population of 200 inhabitants that saw 185,000 visitors on eclipse day. Morning clouds parted before the partial phases began, and the view of totality was glorious.

Looking forward to doing it all over again 231 days from now, in Texas, during #Eclipse2024

Longshot request - anyone in the Buffalo NY area know where good hotels are? I want to plan for the April 8 2024 total eclipse but don't want to end up in a crappy hotel in a bad part of town. Is "downtown" worth it or a mess? Should I go near the University or is that asking for trouble? Somewhere near the Science Museum might be nice, or not, I don't know.
