A 43,500-square-metre timber building by Toyo Ito has been completed in Singapore. Why oh why can we not build these structures in the UK? A country where gas boilers injure hundreds a year. Where thin metal is protected by plasterboard yet considered safer in extreme heat than mass timber. Make it make sense!
