There are quite a few people here who seem concerned with having lots of followers, and posting lots every day, and boosting even more every day, and repeating old stuff everyday. It shouldn't be a surprise I suppose.

I don't need that volume so I mute them or unfollow them.

Obviously I still have a lot to learn about Mastodon. Until I figure it out I'll rely more on following hash tags.

The En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator is very educational. There is great depth in the assumptions / inputs one can vary, and output data and graphs. The full manual is immense but the interface very intuitive.

Hello everyone.

I have lived a long time and payed close attention. My studies include and at Oxford and the O&U, but in a small way I am a polymath.

My conclusion is that the Capitalist paradigm on the one hand, and the worst features of human nature especially greed, present an existential threat to humanity and the ecosystem.

The question I wish to ask everyone on Mastodon now is this:

"Is there an ecological economic alternative to capitalist growth that can gain political traction?"

There is no value in the continual re-statement of the blindingly obvious problems of climate change and inequality. We need practical solutions, urgent massive and global, for all our children and grandchildren. Does anyone have any ideas? Can we be happy?
