Researcher's with quantitative methods in social sciences, please do not interprete your control variables.
We are not looking for that and it's break the inductive thinking of the model.
If you want to interprete the control variables, make an other model please.
That's it :) !

Hi everyone, new server #introduction post!
I'm a researcher at #IIASA working on #energyaccess, #decentlivingstandards and equitable #energytransitions predominantly for communities in the global South. I mainly work with #rstats.
I apply #econometric methods to describe #inequities and understand the effects of #policy intervention. I also sometimes use #spatial methods to map things.
The threads on #econtwitter were/are incredibly helpful to my research and I look forward more here!

Sharing two #opendata #openscience :stata: #data sets possibly useful to those #teaching #quantitative #causalinference or #econometric methods.
Citation: Dee, T. S. (2009). Motorcycle helmets and traffic safety. Journal of Health Economics, 28(2), 398-412

The first is a basic fixed-effects study of helmet use on *two*-rider motorcycles. I find it useful for teaching internal validity, common support & sneaking in some theory (the "Peltzman hypothesis").
