#Economists like to take the fun out of everything, including #Christmas! Some think we should stop giving presents and give cash instead.
A well known #economics paper carried out an experiment to compare the values of presents received with their cost. It found that people, on average, value presents one third less than their cost. We are wasting €3.33 of every €10 spent on presents.
