Welp, the reason my #weather station stopped transmitting is the last big gust sent it to the concrete. So I'm looking for a new one - Fine Offset doesn't seem to make USB stations anymore, so my #pywws is out. I'm thinking of the #Ecowitt GW1102 with #WeeWx on a Pi. Any opinions or better choices?

Am interessantesten erscheint mir eine #Ecowitt GW1101. Das ist von Preis und Leistung am sinnvollsten und kann mit #HomeAssistant verknüpft werden.

Die würde übrigens im Garten stehen, wo ich ohnehin WLAN über LTE Router habe.

Spannend ist, wie ich das mit der Integration hinbekommen würde.

Integration von GW* Gateways im lokalen Netzwerk wäre bestimmt trivial, aber ich müsste einen Custom Weather Service haben, wohin die Daten gepusht werden.

Hat da jemand Erfahrung?

Right you are. Yes, the hourly rate appears to have been derived from the underlying rate. See these two graphs to compare.

I’m not sure what calculates that. I’m going to presume the gateway handles that as it also handles the Monthly / Yearly Rain Total values.

As for the irregularity of polling, I’m seeing a diversity of seconds there. I’m not sure where in the pipeline that delay is. Whether that’s the gateway single threaded submitting to #Ecowitt, Wunderground, and HA?

Our weather station is in progress. We have the air quality sensor working, along with the soil moisture sensors. Am working on placing the weather station right now.

The set up was very easy, and the collection of data is a piece of cake according to hubby. Should have data capture sytem working by tonight... #ecowitt #weatherstation

@NotMyBub I make use of the #Ecowitt ones which are RF433 compatible (and also compatible with Ecowitt base stations). I've also heard of Xiaomi Mi Flora Bluetooth soil sensors being very good when paired with an #ESPHome #BTProxy but I personally haven't tried them.

Heute Nachmittag habe ich mich weiter mit #piwigo beschäftigt… so ein Tool ist für die vielen Fotos meiner Frau vielleicht hilfreich.

Außerdem eine #ecowitt Wetterstation in Betrieb genommen. Die Daten gehen aber nicht ins Netz sondern an den #iobroker außerdem lasse ich sie mir von #WeeWX präsentieren. Sobald die Messstation richtig postiert ist, gehen die Daten auch in eine influxdb für grafana…

Personal weather station components have started to arrive. I got the sensor gateway configured, calibrated and reporting barometric pressure values to @wunderground yesterday. Although I could set up #weewx and get it posting to #CWOP I'm holding off until all the sensors arrive. #weather #wunderground #hobby #ecowitt

Well I've ordered the replacement #Weather station. I'm going with #Ecowitt with haptic/ultrasonic sensor, a TFT display, gateway and air quality monitor. I'll be glad to get my station reporting to #CWOP and #Wunderground again.

This replaces my #DavisInstruments #VantageVue system which failed months ago. Its display and USB-COM serial data logger is just too janky to pay as much as they want to try to replace with working components.
