Micky Overman absolutely killed it with her comedy set at #edfringe2023 last night. Catch her at Monkey Barrel Hive while you can, a rising star.

Well, I had a great #EdFringe2023 but I was right, nothing beat Andrew O'Neill that I saw on Day 1. Outstanding. AND I’ve just spotted it’s streaming on Next up Comedy at 2225 tomorrow (19th) so I’ll be watching them again from my COVID pit.
#EdFringe2023 day 5 for me is cancelled due to, for the second EdFringe running, one of us has got Festival-COVID and we’re going home early 😡 missing Ian Smith, John Robins WiP, Stewart Laws, Olga Koch & Huge Davies.
(Reposted fixing typos)
Today is #EdFringe2023 Day 4: 1030 start for Kitson, then Stewart Lee, Max & Ivan, Mark Watson and a 2330 show I'll probably flake out of going to.
A great #EdFringe2023 day yesterday. Two personal, brave & moving (but still brilliantly funny) shows from Kiri and John, & one crazy inventive show from Spencer.
Also:
Janine Harouni: Fantastic and just solidly funnt start to finish ( also she's doing this while heavily pregnant so serious respect )
Anna Piper Scott: also a brilliant comedian i've not seen before
Frankie Thompson and Liv Ello: doing a brillant theatre comedy about body dismorphia
and Cowboys and Lesbians: a two person comedy theatre coming of age story intermixed with cut tos this hammy overacted cowboy fanfiction, it's great

Was at the edinburgh fringe all last week and have some recommendations if anyone is up there:
Krystal Evans: an absolutely brilliant standup first big show comedian ( forewarned it's very dark subject matter )
Ahir Shar doing great Political Comedy as always
Kieran Hodgson has a very solid scripted standup with a lot of impressions that is so brilliantly dense with jokes i kinda wanna see it twice

A really fun day at #EdFringe2023 yesterday. Day 3 today is two my Edinburgh favourites (Kiri Pritchard-McLean, John Robins) and two not-seen-befores (Spencer Jones, Freya Parker).
I’m sure I didn’t feel this knackered by Day 3 when I was 26…
#EdFringe2023 Barely slept, buzzing from yesterdays shows but Day 2 will be dark-sketch favourites Tarot (WiP), Paul Sinha, Nish (another WiP which will no doubt be better that many finished shows) and naughty-boy Chris Cantrill.
The problem with seeing Andrew O'Neill on my first day of #edfringe2023 is that I can’t imagine anything bettering it. It made my brain fizzy for many different reasons.
A poetic 2 line description of what it’s like to realise you’re NB just one of many highlights. 2225@Monkey Barrel 1
#EdFringe2023 Day 1: The lovely East Coast Main Line for the first time since 2019. Confirmed our accommodation actually exists. Now starting my 20th Fringe with two of my favourites - Nick Doody and Andrew O'Neill 😀
It's that time of year when I advise you to mute me for a week if you don't care about #EdFringe2023 .
I mean, I might post nothing at all. Time will tell.
First #EdFringe2023 recommendation is 'Bill's 44th', a kind-hearted puppet / visual theatre treat on the lows and highs of celebrations, ageing and throwing a great party. See it at Underbelly Cowgate, 8.35pm until 27 August https://www.bills44th.com
Two productions, The Parliament of Poets AND Into the Ruins of Modernity, at Edinburgh Fringe. August 6 - 12, 2023.
Apollo calls the poets of nations East and West to assemble on the moon to consult on the meaning of modern life.
