I suspect what you are consuming on the #Independent that you view as unbiased may well be agency copy from the likes of #Reuters, #AP etc. If you get a paper copy of a newspaper you will find an #editorialpage where the newspaper explicitly states its #opinion. You will also see that on most commercial news channels as its cheap to produce.. but you wont see it on #bbc or #ABCAustralia
