Out of 46 editors in chief (EICs), 34.7% were women, and 60.9% were based in high income countries. No EIC belonged to low-income country. The proportion of female advisory board members was found to be positively correlated with the presence of a female EIC."

I presented two well-received sessions, met tons of people, sold all the copies of Perfect Bound that I brought with me, and even sold 1 copy of Mystery at Creek Academy. That's in addition to eating good food, learning about conscious language from @RedPenRabbit and reconnecting with old friends. Are conferences worth the time and money to attend? This one was!

2 followers · 19 posts · Server mas.toThe new Apple Silicon mac minis are really good for assistant editor work, data wrangling and maybe some DIT work. Transcoding to ProRes is really fast, also to other compressed formats, my M1 doesn't break a sweat.
I guess the real limitation for more serious DIT work would be the limited I/O.
