Great article -- written by the author of the DM #EE2E for Mastodon's proposal -- regarding the possible problems Birdsite might encounter when implementing DM E2EE and where Mastodon stands today in implementing E2EE. Basically, E2EE needs to be implemented at the #ActivityPub level, not Mastodon's.
