Dies wurde vor etwa 20 Jahren gelöst: Die Gruppe um Kazuto #Yamauchi entwickelte das „#EEM“-Verfahren (Elastic Emission Machining), welches eine Oberflächengüte deutlich unter einem #Nanometer Formfehler über eine Länge von dutzenden Zentimetern erlaubt, und dabei auch eine gekrümmter Oberfläche produziert.
