In , it's possible to have different b32 addresses for a single domain.

Eg. when have different persistence policies.

We looked into this and found a number of conflicting addresses. When visiting one of these sites we weren't informed a conflict existed among our three .

Can gain redundency from this or will the router always pick the same address?

@qurlyjoe It's kind of orthogonal to the earlier conversation, but shortly put, is an anonymization and are simply sites primarily or exclusively intended to be reachable from it.

It's possible through some clever cryptography to make an endpoint solely reachable by a given set of keys, among other options, so that not even all users can reach the endpoint.

One could host servers on it. Some do, but bridging to the normal is complicated.

Its for verify a site belongs to a fedizen. Does verification work for I2P ?

BTW try to use the proper term, 'fediverse', rather than simply 'mastodon'.

Here is a link to the (#)interconstellar fediverse icon:
lutim.ggc-project.de/qR0mC4jW.

Freed Creative, bless, helped to refine that icon when she was still on Fedi.

Its CC0 so if you want to make changes find the svg by using the (#)interconstellar hashtag. You'll need to see assets out of frame.

Please see (#)bankAccounts.

Almost two months ago we learned Cloudflare'd banks are blocking selected individuals from access. Its especially troubling given **most of our banks are now Cloudflare**!

We need that respect people.

That starts with banks serving their data themselves and ditching . It extends to banks becoming for (for ssl *and* for ).

PSA: At this time it is vital that we , including and

Tor, or nothing!

The more who use and I2P the better, helping people in oppressed countries disguise their traffic. If everyone is using Tor, and I2P it means people will be able to transact information with the confidence that is less likely to reveal who said what.

If you are a corner store, invite people to use your if they have or I2P.

Don't forget to write up a (hashtag) introduction post about your new fediIdentity :-)

If you are interested in privacy and , then Tor is not the most appropriate as they discourage traffic from things like . The better network is for things like the and for setting up , called on .

Even is using I2P now.

Congrats on the move and here's hoping you enjoy your recovery from the and other dotcons. :-)

Great question. One thing you'll notice fairly quickly is that makes everyone a basically out of the box, this makes it more decentralised. With Tor a person needs to go out of their way to become a relay.

Second major difference is I2P is not designed to access the clearnet at all (strictly speaking you can via an I2P service), but instead. Eg. site.i2p. It doesn't replace Tor, per se.

Third, it love traffic and via and other clients.

Thanks we'll add this to our list. Has anyone explored putting a bounty on fixing the issues?

We wonder if and services might be a good place to publish signed software code, and binaries?

Nice talking and yes, theres always too much to do.

We've desperately called for people to use resources like /#onionsites. During the past year, to no avail.

Unfortunately, talks to Amazon, Cloudflare and Google, even when you harden it. That's why we recommend people to use Tor for the legacy internet.

Searx proxies over takes the cake.

Bookmark as many proxies (that are not ) as you can.

Find a list of searx proxies at searx.space (requires JavaScript). More advanced users can find a raw proxy list here:

Consider LibreWolf or Icecat for and .

Why you no like ? What wrong wid Java?

We must know.

Seriously performance-wise is not bad at all, if that is your concern. We can dig up a good high-level comparison of and if you like.

I2P is not for accessing the . Torrenting is encoraged for the I2P network. More traffic, helps to mask other traffic. See .

By default, everyone in I2P is a router for others.
