I keep seeing articles, blogs etc about how tough & expensive it is to keep #chickens - & people who don’t have chickens should just continue to buy store bought eggs even though #EggPrices are obscenely expensive … & I just… it’s weird to see so much “big egg” propaganda?

Am I wrong in thinking that #BackyardChickens are pretty low key? I am just blown away by all messaging I am seeing, discouraging folks from getting chickens! I love our chickens, I am so glad they are part of our crew!

Regarding home chickens for those considering them due to the price of eggs. 
I suspect backyard birds will become an ever bigger trend because the large Factory style chicken farms lose too many birds to Avian Flu. 
During and after the Great Depression and all the way through WWII, the United States recommended home flocks.
