I don't use Facebook much these days, but today it reminded me that it's been four years since I took Girth Loinhammer's Most Exponential Adventure to the #EGX #Rezzed Fringe Theatre and wow, it didn't feel that long until just now.

That time when you dream up a whole scene in the middle of the night, complete with colour and nuance, and then spend the whole of the next day* trying to reconstruct it in words on the laptop, chasing the ephemeral dream across the landscape of your mind

My foray into short fiction is turning into something else. As usual

But that's ok. I wanted to jumpstart my novel writing. The only problem is, it's clearly the novel after next in the series, not the one I need to write

On the plus side, it does give me context for the next one: ~bookends the future

It's always easier, doing a jigsaw, if you already have the pieces either side of the one you want, then you know its shape
