House altar depicting the royal family from Tell el-Amarna, Egypt. It dates to the New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1351–1334 BC.
This House altar depicts Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three of their daughters in a very intimate family scene. The family is depicted under the Aten, whose rays extends over the entire family.
It's probable that such an item was part of the domestic worship of the royal family by elites within Amarna.
