Taweret is now part of my shrine and i will ask her for protection for my sister's pregnancy.

I could've bought a finished figurine but i wanted to try my hands in a bit tinkereing again and weave some good intent and love into the statue.

I used a hippo figurine from Schleich and crafted a hopefully beautiful statue for her.

My first offering today is milk.

let's talk Yinepu.
Yinepu, also known as Anpu or Anubis, is a god of the dead and embalming. He is a psychopomp. He leads the dead to the afterlife. Yinepu is most often depicted as a jackal headed man or a jackal. He is one of the most well known and popular deities within the kemetic pantheon. Everyone has atleast heard of Anubis, if not heard his other names.
Yinepu is regionally either a child of Wesir or Set. Nebthet is his mother but in some cases it is Aset who raises him. He also is part of the aspected diety Yinepu-Wepwawet/Wepwawet-Yinepu. Wepwawet is another jackal headed diety who is known to be a warrior and a psychopomp. They are two sides of the same coin.

Yinepu has been in my life for quite some times. He taught me about the spirits and introduced me to his mother Nebthet to learn much more. He is not the loudest of deities and works in a time scale that is so beyond human it can seem like forever before you hear from him again. He is very busy after all.

Let's talk Shezmu.
Shesmu is the deity over the wine press and butchery for the gods. It is Shezmu who prepares the meat for the gods to eat. I have read specifically he does this for Hethert, but is known to do this for the Netjeru in general. He is also a deity of wine and the winepress. It is a strange mix being associated with wine and blood or butchery. Until you find out that one of the symbols of the heart in AE were a bunch of grapes. So when Shezmu is pressing grapes he is symbolically pressing hearts to draw out the blood. Which is then made into a nice vintage.
Shezmu was considered a deity of neutral temperament. Sometimes vicious, sometimes calm, sometimes helpful. He could be depicted as a man carrying wine jars or as a lion headed man. He is associated with Ma'ahes and Nefertem, sometimes being equated to or replaced by one or the other.

In my practice I honor these three as brothers and include Yinepu and Ihy as children of Sekhmet/the Eye. But that is just me.

Here comes Nit.
Nit (Neith) is a primordial Creatrix. They are sometimes third gendered and can be refered to as the 'Mother of Mothers and Father of Fathers.' This relates to their power as a creator who comes from the Nun. Nit is also equated with the feminine Nun, Naunet. More connections as a primordial creatrix.
Nit is the mother of Sobek, Tutu, Ra. They have a few regional consorts including Set and Khnum-Ra.
In their mythos, it was Nit who was called upon to act as the judge between Set and Heru-sa-Aset (Horus the Younger) to hear their cases for their right to be king. In one of Nit's cult centers, Sais, there was a system for teaching healing. And specifically OBGYN specialties.
Nit is part of the tri-aspected deity Nit-Nethet-Seshat (or any order of these three). Meaning they can be part of the other two in a hidden or quieter way.

Over all Nit is a power house deity. They are old. Predynastic. Narmer, the man who is said to have conquered and united Ancient Egypt, was husband to a queen of considerable rank named Nithotep. So Nit has been there since the beginning.
