A brief history of PAIDIA – (2/?)

Originally, PAIDIA was supposed to be a bridge between academia and interested gamers, which is why there were formats like the "Retro Review" and we were considering Let's Plays etc. at the beginning.
However, it quickly became clear that had to become a 'real' if we wanted to be part of the institutionalization of Game Studies in the DACH region.

A brief history of PAIDIA – (2/?)

A brief history of PAIDIA (1/?)

PAIDIA was founded in 2011 at the LMU Munich by members of the Munich Game Studies Colloquium, which had emerged from a proseminar on the topic of game philology in modern German literary studies.
The project was initiated by Marcel Schellong and Gebhard Grelczak, who were both lecturers of the original proseminar, but the majority of the founders were students.

A brief history of PAIDIA (1/?)
