Today, on @mediateletipos, I write about a different field recording from this dramatic day in Santiago.
In an act of "citizen phonography" Doctor Puente MartÃnez used a reel-to-reel tape recorder and set it up on his window sill, capturing a recording of both the combat in the streets during the assault on La Moneda palace, and the domestic soundscape of his own flat.
Back in 2014, over at the @mediateletipos blog, I wrote about the famous recording of the internal radio communications of Pinochet's troops during the 1973 Coup in Chile - also known as "la interferencia secreta", this recording was leaked and widely distributed by the Alerce label.
