Snow Kissed Valley

This shot was taken as a winter storm was clearing the Yosemite Valley. The morning was cold and nasty but as the day moved on the sun started to break through.
On the left is El Capitan in it's proud glory. On the right you have Bridalveil Falls, The Three Brothers, and in the center back is Half Dome.

You’re really missing out on things like #regex pattern playgrounds, a separate notes window, #LSP support, and buckets of other improvements.

AFAIK the only #Apple-“inflicted” change was #security sandboxing #BBEdit so that it could also be sold on the #AppStore, but I don’t think that changed much user-facing functionality.

To be honest, when we were in Yosemite, it was so over-crowded, I really didn't enjoy the place that much. It had little to do with the calm or loneliness of nature that I find to appealing.

When driving to the exit we found a rare free parking spot just underneath El Capitan. Pictures of mountains never really bring across the size of them. Even in person it is difficult to grasp the size of El Capitan. We tried to find climbers, but you do not know the size of them compared to the face. Finally we found some. So small!

We stayed for hours looking at them and it made the trip worthwhile nonetheless.

Mixed feelings today.
My #MacBookPro (late 2008) running #OSX #ElCapitan wasn't "allowed" to execute a set of terminal tasks due to lack of support, both from the mother company and #homebrew community :flan_disappointed:​ .
On the positive side my #ThinkpadT43p (2005) running #FreeBSD12.1 pulled it through :flan_hurrah:​ .
