Sharing some #gooseberry #recipes here, prompted by an earlier exchange with @craftygardennz about foraging #elderflowers! Elderflowers are out in these parts just now & gooseberries will be ripe fairly soon. I suspect gooseberries aren't widely available in shops these days, but us home gardeners are often looking for good recipes when we have a glut 😆 These are recipes I've tried & recommend with confidence.

@craftygardennz oh my gosh, I grew up with the elderflower cordial and elderflower champagne that my mum makes. My kids have loved grandma’s homemade drinks when we’ve gone back to the UK. Would love to make some myself but I don’t think elder grows in the Waikato. Anyone know how I can get hold of some #elderflowers up here?
