Did somebody manage to program their Elecraft KX2’s frequency memories from a Mac? I saw there is a utility software but it’s Windows only.

The good news: the #elecraft K2 can hear 60m signals (from a signal gen). The bad news: its now drawing excessive current on transmit with the amp engaged….. like 15 amps with power set at 30W!

I've now reached the scary part where I need to open up the K2 and do a bunch of mods to the main board for the K60XV 60m module/transverter install....Oh and hopefully the replacement varicaps that I found will work for the discontinued ones that are no longer available anywhere and which will need to be mounted on the opposite side of the PCB

#Elecraft K2 build continues, having had to stop for a few days because I trapped my thumb in the car door and couldn't hold the soldering iron...

The 40 metre receiver is aligned and working really well. This thing is fantastically sensitive and quiet. S meter is a bit over optimistic, or the meter on my RSPdx reads low, one or the other. Anyway, I'm impressed with how it sounds.

Now, back to soldering. Next stop, the transmitter.

This is my newest toy. Received it last week from a fellow ham here in Finland. It’s a 100 W version but I run with it under 5 W. The best QRP QSO so far has been to ZL on 10m. Honestly, it’s a great transceiver!
