Small #local #elections like this actually have a huge impact on the day to day #life of people because they are the local #policies and #elected officials for the specific place you #live. People #complain about the building #rules or property taxes or the #roads or the #homeless #policy or #urban design or #zoning or whatever - these elections matter.
13% made the choices for everyone.

In this Age of Data, it is interesting that our most important "public information"—the donor records, the voting records, the absentee records, and other key data points about our #elected officials' public conduct—is essentially opaque to most #Americans.
If our society is at a stage when we can establish worldwide COVID data collection within a matter of hours, we can certainly make this public information that affect our #democracy ought to be easily accessible and well curated data set.

This has to be a seriously bad idea! The most likely consequence would be the election of a #Conservative #mayorofLondon next year in place of #sadiqkhan given that the #Conservatives have abolished the #supplementaryvote in favour of #firstpastthepost for #elected #mayors
This looks like a combination of kicking the unfortunate cat in lieu of anyone else and cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.
Millions of Londoners do not deserve any of this!
