In a UK cost-of-living crisis, it seems there's only one free provider of valid ID (CitizenCard). Even with that, every applicant has to have a suitable referee.

I am still getting my head around why there hasn’t been more outrage about the introduction of voter identification in the UK, considering it’s entirely rigged to locking young and less affluent people out of being members of the electorate. Why are travel cards only acceptable ID for the over 60’s???
Come election time it will be too late. We need to make some noise now!

@Riotgrandma72 I contacted my council about this. They said anyone who doesn’t have appropriate photo ID will be provided with it. They also said, they’ll be more information published next year, when the law comes in. #VoterIDCards #ElectionID #PhotoID
