#solar power is a growing industry and taking big bucks away from the #coal based #electric industry. But it still depends on the existing #electricGrid and financed by private loans. It initially doubles your electric bill for a year from what I understand. In fact, calculating its financing is so complicated at the start that you need serious thinking. This puts off many people off. It should be simplified and part of a general #climate change #retrofitting policy.

You know what the grid can’t handle? #Cryptocurrency. Proof-of-work #crypto such as #bitcoin consumes more electricity than many nations.

Don’t come after #ElectricCars unless you’ve already committed to getting rid of #blockchain crap.

The average #NFT transaction consumes 50kWh - enough electricity to drive my car nearly 200 miles, as much electricity as an average US household in one day or a refrigerator uses in a month.
