My 2022 BMW CE 04 electric “bobber style” scooter in my 70+ year old garage when I was installing the new Puig brand Dark Smoke Touring windscreen on the 10th.

You can see my black temporary car after I sold my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. It was just too big to get into my old garage, the seats were uncomfortable, and the throttle was sometimes unpredictable and the steering could totally fail in a pending recall.

Ordered a new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness in Sun Blaze Pearl.

To get me to delivery, which was estimated to be sometime in October for the new Subaru, I made an agreement with the dealer to buy a 2009 Volvo XC70 with over 200,000+ miles on it on his lot and they would buy it back for what I paid for it less any taxes or fees, of course.

Plus, the Subaru will be easier & more fun to drive and deliver better than twice the gas mileage, so it’ll be a much greener vehicle. 💚

Took these two shots a couple weeks ago riding the middle section of Skyline Drive on my 2022 BMW CE 04.

It’s been a difficult summer for riding as I really don’t like to ride with the heavy wildfire smoke.

Just love this BMW electric “bobber style” scooter. Added a Puig touring windshield in Dark Smoke and really love the way it looks and the way it makes a nice cocoon of still air around the cockpit and eliminating all the buffeting on my helmet. Plus in some tests, it can get you up to 9 to 10% better range because of the aerodynamics.

The CE 04 has incredible acceleration of 0 to 30mph in about two seconds, which is faster than most cars. It’s awesome to ride around WITHOUT the sounds and smells of an ICE powered bike. I think it’s a much more enjoyable experience. Plus, you have incredible torque off the line and I can plug it in at home and charge it for merely pennies. 🏍️

Took my first ride yesterday morning on my 2022 BMW CE 04 purchased last December. Temperatures finally got warm enough. They also finally started hot paving the massive potholes and huge frost heaves, which are the worst in my 23+ years living here and the street sweepers got most of the corners in my part of the city cleaned and ready to ride. Weather was outstanding yesterday and it was sunny and 82°F with mild winds when I was out riding from the thermometer on the BMW.

Today this morning’s temperature is 40°F with winds gusting to 35 miles an hour ❗️💨🥶

Dynamic Mode is WOW❗️❗️❗️

Dynamic Mode on a twisty road is just a blast using regenerative braking and then cranking on the throttle.

What pure unadulterated FUN❗️❗️❗️

This toy could become very addicting just for the adrenaline rush of instant torque and rapid acceleration.

Brought my new BMW CE 04 electric scooter home this last Tuesday from the dealership controlled temperature storage that was part of the deal when I bought the scoot back in early December last year. Haven’t even had a chance to ride one of these new electric scoots yet, and I’m looking forward to riding it soon once the street sweepers clean off all the sand and cinders off the street corners from all the snow we received last winter season (close to TWELVE feet of snow ❄️). 😲

Local roads need many huge potholes repaired too as well as the biggest frost heaves. The roads are the worst I’ve seen in 23+ years in Duluth.

And of course the weather has to cooperate, as I usually didn’t like to ride below 50°F but this scoot has heated grips and a heated seat, that may change.

Also, looking forward to many scooter adventures and taking many landscape, wildlife and birding photographs to share. 📸

From this angle, you can really see the”Bobber” style I’m referencing for this new electric scooter from BMW. Really looking forward to my first ride on this scoot since it was snow covered in late November and I never had a chance to ride this model. From what I’ve gathered reading and seeing on YouTube videos it’s a really fun scoot to ride and I’m looking forward to enjoying it’s incredible acceleration, 0 to 30 mph in about three seconds. It has plenty of range for city use in the urban environment with 80 miles and top speed is 75 to 79 mph depending on conditions, which is plenty fast to take short trips on Interstate 35. Really looking forward to new photography adventures like I used to do with my Vespa GTS 250. I’ll be sure to share some of these photographs with you fine people here.

Purchased most options on this new electric scooter and I’m sure it’s going to be a fine addition to my garage.  👍🏼🤟🏼😎
