It’s terrible how bad my memory has been ever since I underwent 16 sessions of ECT a few years ago. I was told it would go back to normal after 2-3 months, but it didn’t. I have ADHD, so my memory was never great to begin with. I’m always trying new strategies to try to avoid forgetting things, but it’s never enough. It’s so frustrating. I worry that people will think I’m just using memory issues as an excuse for not wanting to do things. #ElectroconvulsiveTherapy #ADHD

#ECT is not often discussed, and when it is it often comes with stigma and misinformation. My experience is direct and mostly positive, but I've never really had the opportunity to talk with others about it.
