I lived through that time in the 1970s when the world sprang from 400yo #SlideRules to pocket #ElectronicCalculators. Within a decade thereafter, I noticed among the college students a palpable decline in mental arithmetic and visual acuity with mathematical functions like \( log, ln, sin, cos, tan, \) etc.

Today, high schoolers, college students, and businessmen alike are using #ChatGPT to compose written works. I anticipate people will soon no longer be able to write anything other than \( \texttt{LOL}, \texttt{ROFL}, \) and the like. By then, that cherished phrase of the past, \( \texttt{RTFM}\), will become meaningless.
