@keithzg Well, if any Canadian government were to succeed at #ElectronicHealthRecords , I'm not surprised that it's Alberta.

This topic would be worth researching further. Are citizens able to see their own records? Is the implementation open source, or at least based upon some open standard with competing implementations? Do medical practitioners think it is an improvement? How is privacy protected? Can it be used for different languages?

When I saw your toot, I wasn't sure if you meant Epic, the giant electronic health records company. You do. When I retired from medicine several years ago, they were the 800-lb Gorilla. I assume that is still true which makes this a potentially big story.
