In Venezuela a civil war was avoided, twice, because they use voting machines with paper trail, that allowed manual recounting -- so that the claims of "stolen election" were promptly and convincingly dismissed. Think what you want of the winner, but the outcome was a thousand times better than a civil war.

In #Australia about 30% of us do mail-in #ballots, and we don't have a problem with #election fraud.

So we are slightly amused that the president of the #USA has so little faith in #democracy in his own country that he is willing to put the lives of his citizens at risk.
