Time for some #DnD as the Blackrazors continue our #ElementalApocalypse campaign. This time around, my friend Bob is running a multi-session one-shot (I was unavailable for most of August, so Bob stepped in to DM).
Looking forward to being a player in this campaign, with my new character: Arther Boundless (arcane trickster 6 / path of wild magic barbarian 3).
No #ElementalApocalypse game tonight because I'm woefully under-prepared. Or at least, I feel woefully under-prepared. And #GenCon is coming. And I have a major project launching on Tuesday and ... [takes a deep breath].
Futzing about with my #DnD #ElementalApocalypse campaign. Contemplating which map I should work on next (a regional map? the burning keep?).
Oh, wait ... there's a new episode of #Foundation out? Well, who needs sleep anyway?

Running my #DnD #ElementalApocalypse campaign. Our heroes are attempting to evade hunting wyverns while racing a red dragon to the impact site of a magical artifact.
Given the cat-and-mouse, Robin Hood-equese story we've got going (in which our heroes, located in the Caverns of Hope, fight back against their oppressors in the Burning Keep) it's feeling like wiping up a 1-mile-per-hex local map would be helpful. #ElementalApocalypse #KeepOnTheBorderlands #DnD

Another #ElementalApocalypse session is in the books. Big map, big battle - we're still learning how to adjust to the flow of large maps, but we're liking how it brings new tactics and new spells to bear. #DnD
I'm searching for kobold art for my #ElementalApocalypse campaign - I'm looking for something mean & murder-y ... and finding tons of cute kobolds.
Which is great for the folks who like that sort of thing. Me? I remember being slaughtered - repeatedly - by kobolds and their damn fire arrows in Baldur's Gate.
Had a ton of fun playing with my super-sized battle map during tonight's #ElementalApocalypse game. Aside from my tactical mistake of letting the party barbarian close with my conjurer (who could have teleported away as a bonus action), it went well.
The bigger map forced more maneuvering and more tactical spell use (darkness, fog cloud). It also meant that the Broken Vows (the enemy mercenary band) could withdraw from the battle field more easily.
Pulled together my notes for tonight's #ElementalApocalypse #DnD campaign session. It'll only be about 2 hours long because of family/volunteering/gaming time conflicts, but some game is better than no game.
Playing around with Inkarnate to build overland maps for #ElementalApocalypse. https://inkarnate.com/
This may be the tool for large-scale maps that I've been looking for - it presents you with a canvas, then lets you easily add elements to it (trees, rocks, etc.)
Mucking about with the #ElementalApocalypse campaign. I've got The Desolation of Smaug playing in the background to provide a little inspiration. #DnD
For the last week, we've been posting about how to deal with #WritersBlock. What worked for Ken? A two-day backpacking trip through the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Forest fires ravaged the area a few years ago.
The pines survived, and there was plenty of new ground growth. It provided a ton of inspiration for Ken's #ElementalApocalypse campaign.

Futzing around with my #ElementalApocalypse campaign now that everyone's gone to bed. On the TV: Ghost Ship - I blame/credit @mackensen and his recent watching of 13 Ghosts
Looking around for some generic elemental effect art packs / tokens I can use for my #ElementalApocalypse game.
Things like random bonfires, pillars of ice, pools of water, etc. Basically, stuff to make the map look like more than just another generic fantasy battle ground.
Playing around with #Worldographer for my #ElementalApocalypse campaign. Hexcrawl-style map, with the base hexes being 6 miles (underlay hexes are 30-miles, which is the #Greyhawk standard).

Firing up #Worldographer to build out a hex map for #ElementalApocalypse.

I finally got around to writing up a Nuketown post about my new Elemental Apocalypse campaign, in which the Temple of Elemental Evil rose ... and the World of Greyhawk fell. https://www.nuketown.com/invoking-the-elemental-apocalypse/ #DnD #ElementalEvil #ElementalApocalypse

Experimenting with using #ChatGPT to quickly create NPCs for my #ElementalApocalypse campaign.
