Current struggle: Trying to save one of the last stretches of undeveloped downtown and riverfront property from single family homes.
After one community session with 300 ppl, the hired dev. group, 3 months late, recommended turning our riverfront into single family homes 😭 Were trying to get the city to understand that this doesn't serve the residents or the City's bottom line.

Elgin Cathedral
One of Scotland’s most beautiful but troubled medieval buildings, dating back to 1224.
The 13th-century west front is acknowledged as being one of the grandest architectural achievements in Scotland.
Unfortunately, the 800-year-old cathedral didn’t last beyond a few hundred years and by the end of the 16th century reformation it had been left to fall into ruin.

Birnie Kirk south of Elgin in Moray, built around 1140 on the site of an earlier Celtic church. Birnie Kirk served as the first cathedral of the Bishops of Moray and it is one of the oldest churches in continuous use in Scotland.
