Sometimes social media can actually spawn something great. A little while ago, my Twitter friend Gaijin Mommy’s kid invented the word “one-gether” which inspired me to compose a song around it (see below). And now I just found this post by Ólafur Arnalds, who had uploaded a piano improvisation to Insta, which Ella McRobb added a vocal track to. He was taken by her voice, they contacted, and she came to Iceland to record an actual single. Here’s the result:
