The state Senate voted Wednesday to expand the Act to include in the state’s anti-discrimination protections. Most Republicans voted “no,” but three GOP lawmakers joined the Democratic majority in the 23-to-15 vote. The bill now goes to the state House. Governor has said she is eager to sign the bill into law.

Dems were able to secure a narrow majority in the legislature, and it may pass the house. This is worlds apart from the last session's iteration of the same bill - the fascist majority prevented it from ever seeing the floor
