3:10 to Yuma (1957), directed by Delmer Daves. One of the great westerns. A deceptively simple story of a reluctant deputy trying to get an outlaw onto a train that will take him to jail.

Based on an equally good Elmore Leonard story. Glenn Ford and Van Heflin are both superb.

Wonderfully stark b&w cinematography.

I haven't had a chance/been in the mood to watch many movies/TV in a while but yesterday I finally watch the first episode of #HapAndLeonard. Shame it got cancelled and that it's taken me this long to get around to it but I dug it. Very #ElmoreLeonard/pulpy; which they were obviously going for. I'm down!

On this week's Film Seizure, we have another really good #ElmoreLeonard adaptation as we see #GeorgeClooney and #JenniferLopez at the start of their massive rise to stardom in Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight.
