My Bird Site account was hacked this week for the 1st time in 14 years. It sent out hundreds of Crypto spam tweets @ mentioning thousands of user accounts before Twitter shut it down. This plus all the hate and madness created by #Eloff #muskrat has me spending almost no time on that site. Thank you @Gargron for a better experience here on #Mastodon

This is a sign of desperation. Twitter is telling people that Mastodon sites could be malicious sites that steal personal information... or worse.
