Hi fellow #voicedream users. I tried to get a text read by the #eloquence voice. Unfortunately above about 140 words per minute, it jumps directwy to about 210. There seems to be no chance for anything in between. Is this a bug that should be reported, or is there something I should do differently? @mastoblind@gup.pe #blind

#Eloquence question. When you use dictionaries like root, abbreviations, etc., they have a .dic extension. But the API reference mentions .dct for something. there's something in the TTS.txt file that's talking about using a .dct file, but I don't remember seeing like enuroot.dct or what not when I briefly messed with dictionaries, it's enuroot.dic. It's talking about maildict.dct, and I've actually seen this in JAWS too, eloqmain.dct. Is there such thing as a filter dictionary?

For one iOS beta, 16.5 beta 3 to be exact, we were getting closer to having more features of Eloquence supported by Apple devices. Shorten pauses, and toggles for phrase prediction and abbreviation expansion come to mind as features that are not there yet. Shorten pauses was... For beta 3. Phrase prediction doesn't work anyway, at least not for Finnish which is my native language. But abbreviations do... Unfortunately. Maybe I should be grateful for having Eloquence in the first place but I still think that being able to toggle abbreviation expansion, shortened pauses and phrase prediction would make it close to perfection. I'd much rather have Eloquence say "to" when encountering the word 'to' in a text read with the Finnish voice instead of "torstai" which has nothing to do with the word to, that means Thursday in Finnish, after all. @BTyson i'm not sure. I do know that even in the latest #beta, the issue with #Eloquence, where it can't even say its own name, when you go to select it, still exists. Have you experienced that?
