I hear you #EmbersAdrift

@massivelyop Generally seems more polished that #EmbersAdrift, which is what I was hoping for. But the environment and player models are so disappointing, as is stated in the video.

So we’re still a ways off from release I guess. Continuing to temper expectations.

Played some #EmbersAdrift again last night. The friend that I had made the prior night was logging out as I was logging in, so we weren’t able to connect. Instead I farmed critters for crude salve on my supporter, and did forester related harvesting.

There was group forming for ancient bears, but I was a bit too low level, so I had a more chill night than on Monday night.

I’ll try again tonight to play and see how it goes.

So, on a whim, based on the news that’s been flowing from the studio, I logged into #EmbersAdrift tonight and ended up playing for an hour or two.

The key: I found a group of two other chatty people and we ran around and just general got into trouble in Newhaven Valley. The two times I’ve had fun when logging into Embers I found a party within five minutes. Grouping up really is key to enjoyment.

This game isn’t really my speed (since I don’t think I have the time to invest in it), but they’re an indie studio trying to do good things.
