Über eineinhalb Stunden kein Strom. Michael (Beamline-Chef) kam wieder rein, hat die Racks aufgerissen. Später bin ich mit dem #EMBL-Martin losgezogen, um weitere Rack-Türen aufzumachen. „Ich weiß nicht, warum wir das machen; aber Michael macht das. Ist also richtig.“

Die Idee war: Wenn der Strom wieder kommt, gehen die #Rechner an und werden warm; wir wissen aber nicht, was mit der #Kühlung ist – also Türen auf.

Just a thought, I would like to share, as the pandemic situation allows for many things again:

We should consider planning scientific meetings as hybrid events whenever possible!

This is tremendously important for people who cannot (or do not want to) travel, e.g. for family, health, political or environmental reasons, to stay connected.
