The great thunderbird appeared with a flash illuminating the valley below. Illuminating an army previously unseen. The defenders of the fort would have all died had they been caught unaware, and where able to escape thanks to it’s fortuitous appearance that stormy night. Forever after, they gave thanks to it and took it as their symbol.
