Participating in last year's Recognizing Preprint Peer Review Meeting, organized by @ASAPbio, @HHMI and #EMBO, was exciting.

Together with many other meeting participants, I have now published a call to action, aiming to advance the culture of peer review with preprints https://osf.io/cht8p.

I truly hope this call will get widespread support. We all have an opportunity to contribute to a better scholarly publishing system.

I see there are plans, yet again, to destroy #CoulLinks, #Embo, near #Dornoch, to create a #golf course. Similar plans were thrown out by a public enquiry 3 years ago- so why wasn't that the end of it? What looks like a misuse of the #planning process must be creating lots of uncertainty in a lovely area of #Scotland

Just a thought, I would like to share, as the pandemic situation allows for many things again:

We should consider planning scientific meetings as hybrid events whenever possible!

This is tremendously important for people who cannot (or do not want to) travel, e.g. for family, health, political or environmental reasons, to stay connected.

Let's make inclusion a reality!
