Funnily enough, I spent all that time and effort repairing a Konica 57mm f/1.4 lens, even though I own a working 50mm f/1.4 and f/1.7 lens. Both of these are newer and technically superior models (especially the f/1.7, which is widely viewed as one of the sharpest lenses made in its day).

Partly I just wanted to see if I could salvage an older lens, but I also wanted to try using glass with a more “classic” look. #EmbraceImperfection
