Last time, we talked about constantly complaining about the weather. Besides this we find descriptions of the general climate and how it shaped the respective societies in .
Especially interesting is the account of Mehmed Said Efendi, envoy of Sultan Mahmud I, who travelled to Sweden in 1733. It’s the first Ottoman account on Sweden.

Reading diplomatic correspondences you notice that the diplomats complained about a lot of things: lack of money, ailings and of course about the weather.
