I've seen it attempt to guide people up an extremely steep firetrack up Mt Tamborine.
Local residents complained with Google, but they refused to remove the controversial route.

@jules built the API which would need a key for access. There were plans for an RSS feed but don't think it was implemented. A lot of the Emergency Service organisations including the BoM ( sorry, The Bureau ) are putting their warnings out using the CAP-AU standard ( Common Alerting Protocol ) which is fairly well structured #emergencyincidents
