Then look for the old train tracks that are now the Emeryville/Berkeley Greenway. I find myself coming to Bay Street (a mall in very bike-friendly Emeryville) more and more because it’s so pleasant and safe to bike here—and not going to Hopkins at all since the shops their don’t care about my safety. This is just would an advocate _would_ say! But it’s nice to feel the truth of it in my own choices. Plus, I like the parking, & being counted.

(After I wrote this, I saw @libbington’s distinctive bike here—maybe reflecting the same choices.)
