Since Adventures in California History (@pitsenberger on Twitter) shared the old wagon road in Hope Valley (https://youtu.be/zdNDzHJcflo), decided to go take a look myself. Wandered down the old pavement until I spotted the imprint of the compacted road just off to the side.
