@dekkzz76 I had some trouble with built-in YouTube feeds, so I've made a script that converts them to a more "suitable" format (#rssbridge is probably a better option, I wasn't aware of it at the time):
https://github.com/SqrtMinusOne/yt-rss/blob/master/main.py
And I don't look at enclosures at all, I just feed links to #EMMS. yt-dlp will fail to play the video if something is wrong anyway.
Maybe (yet) unpublished videos don't have enclosures? Just a wild guess.
@lispi314 I did configure it and try it out, but I found the #emms #mpd back-end lacking: it can only pull in the current playlist into a buffer, and it can't update the buffer automatcally (so goodbye consume mode, goodbye dynamic playlists, etc.) My solution is to run mpd as usual, and only use simple-mpc in Emacs, which is powerful enough for most tasks.
@rysiek
I'm amused not to see it here yet, but #GNU #Emacs my favorite code editor and system shell should count. :3
One can use it for managing files (#dired), listening to music and watching videos (#emms), interacting with #Usenet (#Gnus), interacting with one's #email (#mu4e) or coding. All through a built-in scripting language called #EmacsLisp.

Less cheekily, https://git.sr.ht/~niklaseklund/detached.el is cool, it's like screen/tmux+ssh for Emacs, to run detached programs remotely.

@victorhck I used to but switched to #cmus some time ago now. Also use #emms in #Emacs now and again.
@daviwil @fikrirnurhidayat Since I discovered #emms in #emacs I'm hooked on cool tunes from https://somafm.com/sf1033.pls which mixes ambient lounge with SF emergency radio.
@emacsomancer I set up #emms to manage #mpd , but it required a lot of configuration and I'm not sure how well it works. In particular, I run mpd on a different computer, so I needed to configure EMMS not just to start mpd, but a player that would connect to the server.
