Funny how there is this one thing that I'm still carrying around with me, even after 32 years.

How do you think should a mother react when her daughter comes home with her first broken heart?

I am a thing to try to process some complex and bothersome issues. At least the title is good. 😉

The best thing that happened to me in 2022 is that it finally became clear to me that the I experienced as a child, and the beliefs about myself that it engendered, have done me profound harm. I realized that for my entire life I've felt myself to be unlovable (and unlikeable) unless I'm useful. Of course, I realized this through being triggered by the cruelty of LITERALLY THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET that I trusted unconditionally.

So, yeah. 2023 is going to be better.

without a support network isn't easy. I've been doing it since I was 18 because building one seems even harder.

Why? People taught me how to write, but nobody bothered to teach me how to relate to people or build a support network because I was a "smart boy" and should have been able to figure it out myself. I didn't.

This isn't an issue; lots of men have the same problem, and I suspect this is a consequence of widespread .
