I'm realizing -- with time, maturity, and (a lot of) repetition -- what the important bits are; and how to focus on them without letting anger overwhelm me.

As someone that is both autistic and ADHD, to embrace these parts of myself is a complete revolution in my thinking.

What makes me good at social engineering is the lifetime of disambiguating disinformation from trusted sources, nearly 40 years of masking, nearly 30 years of family trauma and toxic relationships, nearly 20 years of institutional trauma -- generational, familial, sexual, medical, educational, and occupational.

I know the dark parts of your mind, because I've been there.

My father is most likely autistic. My mother is ADHD and BPD and a survivor of a long line of malignant narcissists -- capable of magnanimous love yet incapable empathy -- and both struggled with many of the same experiences they tried to shield me from.

The more I acknowledge my past, the less power it has over me.
